The history of Bappert Automotive Processed with VSCOcam with b1 preset. The facility first began as a Leonard Oil station. Chuck Signs took over in 1968 to create Signs Tire Service. In the early 1980s, we began handling more comprehensive auto repair. The shop was sold to another Williamston family in the 1980s and Bob Bappert came on board in 1987. They formally became Bappert Automotive in 2008. They’ve always been owned by local families.

They are proud to be in Williamston and showcase this by helping promote local events, sponsoring sports teams and events, as well as being active members of the community. They have grown into a hometown name and were unofficially voted the best mechanic shop in Williamston according to a local Facebook group.
